IIMB consistently figures among the top business schools in India in domestic and international surveys.
In October 2010, a survey by Eduniversal, a unit of SMBG, a consulting firm based in Paris, ranked IIMB as the # 1 Business School in Central Asia and South Asia for the third consecutive year.
In the Eduniversal Palmes 2010, IIMB was awarded '5 Palmes', the highest recognition under the evaluation, accorded to "Universal Business Schools with major international influence".
The Eduniversal selection endorses IIMB’s international reputation and influence, defined as the capacity of a business school to make a student valuable – and thus to improve their employability – in domestic and international spheres.
In April 2009, IIMB has been ranked among the top ten in the Asia-Pacific region in the QS Global Top Business Schools 2009: The Employer’s Choice published by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). IIMB is the only Indian management school to rank amongst the top ten, which includes business schools in Australia, Singapore, China and Hong Kong. Significantly, IIMB at sixth place has improved on its ranking from the ninth place it received in the previous 2007-08 report. No wonder then that IIMB continues to be a preferred recruitment destination for global positions.
IIMB Selected as Member of Graduate Management Admission Council
The Graduate Management Admission Council (GMAC), the association of international graduate business schools and owner of the GMAT exam, has admitted the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore as its newest member.
IIMB was selected to join 178 other leading business schools from 19 countries by the GMAC Board of Directors.
In a media release issued on October 7, 2009, GMAC said:

"It is clearly recognized as an institution that is at the forefront of graduate management education around the world, upholding the high standards of excellence and integrity that represent membership in the Council."
