This programme links Western Anglo-Saxon Philosophy (WASP) with the Eastern Philosophies of Gurukul education. By blending the two philosophies and testing them on over thousand coaches and over 50 Organizations in India from January to July 2013, IIM-B has become the first Management Institute to offer this program to senior executives over a period of 3.5 days (28 hours), inclusive of theory and practical modules. Because the programme has been field tested with the inputs from Coaches and Organizations, it is relevant to Indian Organizations that want to introduce Coaching in their organizations with senior Leadership as the prime movers and levers to usher in Coaching as a standard practice.

S Raghunath

Corporate Strategy and Policy

Dr. S Raghunath is Professor of Corporate Strategy and Policy at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB). He is an experienced business advisor, speaker and author. Dr. Raghunath has coached CEOs and senior managers of multinational subsidiaries in India as well as CEOs of startups and domestic medium size companies. For 24 years he has been offering professional services to a number of companies such as General Electric, General Motors, CISCO, IBM, TCS, Essar, HP, Metro Cash & Carry, Satyam, Wipro, SAIL, Tata Steel, Volvo and Ashok Leyland.

He is known for practical and real world approach to professional engagements. Dr. Raghunath has published several papers, case studies and book chapters. He has been quoted in publications such as Economic Times, Business World and Computer Today. He was writing a column on strategy for Business Outlook.

He is a Director on the Board of MECL, Weir India, Spire Technology, KTwo Technologies, National Venture Capital Fund and the Chairperson of the India Board of Academy of International Business.

 

V Ramachandran

V Ramachandran comes with over 30 years of experience in HR at both strategic and operational levels in Indian and Multinational Companies in the Engineering, Pharmaceutical, Agriculture and Pesticides, Consumer Non-durables, High Technology, BPO, Banking and Airlines sectors.

 Ramachandran started his career specialising in Compensation & Benefits, predominantly for Indian companies such as BHEL, Associated Capsules Group, Golden Tobacco and Coromandel Indag Group.

Subsequently, he gained both generalist and functional expertise in other aspects of HR such as Recruitment & Selection, Training & Development, Career & Succession Planning, Employee & Union Relations and Post Merger Integration while working for MNC’s such as Texas Instruments, AT&T, SITA, Air Mauritius andThe Murugappa Group. While working for these MNCs Ramachandran was based in India, Singapore, London and Mauritius. Ramachandran’s most recent roles after he returned to India were Director HR for the Murugappa Group in Chennai and finally with Motorola in India, as Senior Director – HR and Lead for Employee & Labour Relations for Asia Pacific.

 

Currently, Ramachandran serves as the Non-Executive Chairman of Associated Search Professional Pvt Ltd and is also on the panel of coaches for one of the Big 4’s, regularly coaching their Directors and Partners. Ramachandran is an empanelled Coach at The Indian School of Business (ISB), as well as HR advisorat the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore (IIM-B).

 

Ramachandran is a Certified Corporate Director of The Institute of Directors, UK & India, a Member of the International Coach Federation, USA, a certified Executive Coach for The Gallup Organization and is Certified in Adult Experiential Learning Programs. Ramachandran was on the Advisory Board for HR for

The Chennai Business School and was also the Advisor to The National HRD Network, the largest Association of HR Professionals in India. In December 2008, he was recognized with Exemplary HR Leader Award at The Employer Branding Convention held in Bangalore in 2008 and was also awarded The Pride of HR award in the World HR Conference, 2009.
