Outsourcing has been a major initiative in recent years for addressing issues relating to growth. Dr. S Raghunath is a Professor of Corporate Strategy and Policy at Indian Institute of Management Bangalore. He is currently involved in teaching, consulting and research related to the growth strategies of information technology companies in India, strategic development of MNC subsidiaries in India and strategic outsourcing.

Dr. Raghunath has coached many top managers of Indian as well as multinational companies. For 24 years he has been offering professional services to a number of companies such as Bharti Airtel, Hutch, General Electric, General Motors, IBM, Essar, HP, Metro Cash & Carry, Satyam, Wipro, SAIL, Tata Steel, Volvo and Ashok Leyland. He is a registered consultant with the Office of Projects Services, UNDP, New York.

Dr. Raghunath has published several papers, case studies and book chapters. He has been quoted in publications such as Economic Times, Business World, Business Line and Computer Today. He was also writing a column for Business Outlook.

Dr. Raghunath serves as an independent director on the board of KTwo Technologies, Alkor Technologies, India Satcom, National Venture Capital Fund, India Board of Academy of International Business.
