This programme will enhance understanding necessary to create and manage fashion and lifestyle brands both products and services. It is a program, which will address industry trends in lifestyle and fashion products and services and will offer better appreciation of the consumer of buyer behavior in the digital age. The goal is to impart concepts relating to value chain of fashion and lifestyle products & services, understand the underpinning of the brands in the mind of consumers, and equip participants with skills to create, execute, and manage fashion and life style products and services in a real time manner to realize the potential of fashion and lifestyle products and services. This is not about learning mere concepts but about understanding how to make business decisions relating to creating a fashion or lifestyle brand experience, differences that exist in managing fashion and lifestyle brands products and services and execution of a fashion and lifestyle brand by managing channels – digital, direct, joint ventures or franchise, etc.

The program is designed for CEOs, entrepreneurs, designers, GMs of operating divisions, brand managers, and sales managers.

Case studies, lectures

Dr. S Raghunath is a Professor of Corporate Strategy and Policy at the IIM Bangalore. His work has focused on themes in fashion and lifestyle business in India, such as demand for luxury goods and services in India, recent trends and emerging categories in luxury market including Indianizing the concept of luxury.

He was a Visiting Scholar at the Graduate School of Business, Standford University (1990-1991). He was also a Visiting Professor at INSEAD, France; HEC Paris; EuroMED, Marseilles; University of Buckingham, UK; RMIT School of Business; Melbourne, Australia.

Dr.Raghunath was the Global Director of the International Masters Programme for Practicing Manager (IMPM) in 2010-2011 and has coached many CXOs of Indian companies as well as MNCs. Dr.Raghunath is the India Chapter Chair of the Academy of International Business. He is on the board of directors of Vijaya Bank, KIOCL, Scientrix Asia, Spire Technology, K Two Technologies, Weir India, National Venture Capital Fund. He is a Registered Consultant with the Office of Project Services, UNDP, New York.

 

Mr. Manoj Nakra is the Executive Director of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for SME development, Dubai. In 2004 Mr.Manoj started SmartGlobal, a retail Strategy Consulting and Executive Education Company in the Knowledge Village, Dubai. Prior to the doctorate, Manoj was Deputy CEO of Jashanmal National Company, Dubai. Manoj has developed three unique concepts – ‘InnerLines’, ‘TableArt’ and ‘Just Chocolate’.

Manoj acquired a Doctorate in Management from Case Western Reserve University, USA (where he was also an adjunct faculty), an MBA from IIMB and an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Delhi.

Programme Fee and Payment

INR 76,000/- Residential and INR 70,000/- Non -Residential (+ Applicable GST) per person for participants from India and its equivalent in US Dollars for participants from other countries.

Early Bird Discount

Nominations received with payments on or before 21-Sept-17 will be entitled to an early bird Discount of 10%.

Please Note

All enrolments are subject to review and approval by the programme director. Joining Instructions will be sent to the selected candidates 10 days prior the start of the programme. Kindly do not make your travel plans unless you receive the letter from IIMB.

A certificate of participation will be awarded to the participants by IIMB.

  • The programme fee should be received by the Executive Education Office before the programme commencement date.
  • In case of cancellations, the fee will be refunded only if a request is received at least 15 days prior to the start of the programme.
  • If a nomination is not accepted, the fee will be refunded to the person/ organisation concerned.
