Financial Support
FPM Students in good standing will receive a total support of Rs 2,88,000/- per annum in addition to tuition waiver, to cover their living expenses, books and materials, insurance and other contingency expenses.
Hostel room rent of Rs. 3000/- per month will be deducted from the stipend every month for those students availing dormitory accommodation on campus. Those who stay outside the campus will get additional payment of Rs 5,000/- per month towards non residential subsidy.
Students are required to do Research Assistance work of 10hrs/week.
First year students will be paid a start up grant of Rs 50,000/- in two equal installments, first one soon after joining the programme and second installment after 6 months of joining the programme. This is intended to meet expenses on purchasing hardware, software, data base etc.,
Attending Conference
National Conference:
Institute will support every year a limited number of travel grant up to Rs 10,000/- each for attending national conference. This grant is awarded on a competitive basis to students having papers accepted for presentation in conferences organized by association of academics where peer reviewed papers are presented. A student may at the most avail two such awards during the 5 years of the programme.
International Conference
Institute will support with an international travel grant up to Rs 1, 00,000/- for presenting papers in the international conference for 3 FPM students each year. Total grant support available each year is Rs 3,00,000/- The grant will be awarded on a competitive basis. A student whose paper has been accepted for presentation in an international conference is eligible to apply. Preference will be given to attend conferences where papers are peer reviewed and to students who have partial support from other sources. A student can avail only one such award during the course of the programme.
