IIM Bangalore maintains long-term associations and links with several firms in the corporate sector, both Indian and multinational, besides government and non-government organizations. These organisations partner with us in knowledge creation and in building a talent pool for industry and civil services.
Students from IIM Bangalore, owing to their intrinsic talent as well as the holistic personality development they receive here, are significant value creators for organizations worldwide. The best companies recruit from IIMB year-on-year, offering excellent career opportunities to our students. Companies who participate in campus placements, or undertake lateral placements are key stakeholders at IIMB.
Customised programmes, offered by the Institute, are designed to meet the specific needs of client organisations.
The Institute partners with a range of client organisations in the private and public sectors, to not only disseminate state-of-art knowledge to all their managerial personnel though different Customised programmes, but also partners in knowledge creation and problem solving. One of the distinctive elements of the programmes we design and conduct for Corporate Partners is the Action Learning component. As a part of the programme, company personnel study live challenges confronted by the company and generate solutions under the guidance of the Institute's Faculty. The purpose is to achieve both individual and organizational learning simultaneously and more importantly, to make things happen.
IIMB faculty members spend a portion of their time on consultancy projects assigned by companies in the private and public sectors, government agencies and multi-lateral development organizations. Over the years, IIMB has built up an extensive body of knowledge in social sectors such as health and education and has worked with Indian government agencies both at the centre and the state levels, and has contributed to policy formation and developmental processes at the grassroots. Several projects are taken up for international institutions such as the World Bank and UNDP. Going forward, IIMB is focussing on research and consulting related to emerging markets and economies.
