The Centre for Development of Cases and Teaching Aids set up in 1995 encourages case writing and promoting case method of teaching. The Centre publishes cases, researched and developed primarily in the Indian and Asian context.

The Centre is guided by an Advisory Committee of professors and is currently promoting cases, teaching notes and other teaching material in the fields of business, corporate citizenship and social responsibility and public policy and management. Cases and other material registered with IIMB (written and developed by both Institute faculty and external experts) are available for use by teaching and training institutions in India and overseas.

Cases occupy a prominent place among the pedagogical tools at both teaching and training programmes. They also serve as excellent vehicles to project an integrated view of management, administration and policy formulation and implementation, blending theory with practice, while at the same time sharpening the analytical and communication skills of the participants.

Among the other activities of the Centre is the publication of ‘GLEANINGS’, a bi-monthly abstract service providing current information on Case Studies and Case Leads from leading business and other dailies and periodicals.
