IIMB Library encourages the use of its library for academic and research purposes. Individuals and Organizations can avail access to its services and resources either on Deposit or Non-Deposit  based memberships. Members who need to access electronic resources may visit on Wednesdays & Thursdays only

Deposit Based Membership

Individual and organizations located in Bangalore are eligible to become Deposit based Members. Following are the details of membership fees and privileges. Individuals opting for membership should produce a reference / introduction letter from the affiliated Organization / Institution.

Alumni Rs 3.000 per ticket 2 Rs 1,000 2 books for 15 days
Individuals Rs 7,000 per ticket 2 Rs 2,000 2 books for 15 days
Non- Profit Organisations/Academic Institutions Rs 25,000 2 Rs 5,000 2 books for 15 days
Profit- making Organisations Rs 50,000 4 Rs 10,000 4 books for 15 days

Membership Guidelines

Services & Facilities

Members are entitled to avail Reference Service and Borrowing Facility. Information search Services from Electronic & Print Resources, Photocopying facilities are chargeable extra as per rates prescribed by the library.

Non- Deposit based Membership

Non Deposit based membership is available to individuals from all over India who visit IIMB to consult and refer library resources for brief period. It is open to academicians, research scholars, professionals, and students.

Services and Facilities

Members opting for Non-Deposit Membership are not entiled for any borrowing facility, but can avail information search service, bibliographic services and Photocopying facility by paying charges as applicable to external members.

Working Hours

Deposit Users: Monday to Sunday 10.00 AM to 8.00 PM
Non Deposit Users: Monday to Sunday 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM
Micro Documents Section 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM
E-Resources Service only on Wednesday & Thursday 10.30 AM to 4.30 PM
