NSRCEL hosts panel discussion to highlight entrepreneurship issues

 

Bangalore, August 7, 2009: The Nadathur S Raghavan Centre for Entrepreneurial Learning (NSRCEL) a Centre for Excellence at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB), today hosted a panel discussion on "Entrepreneurship in Bangalore- Problems and Prospects" at the IIMB campus. The panelists were Mr D Muralidhar, Immediate Past President FKCCI, Dr Ashwin Mahesh, CEO Mapunity, Adjunct Faculty IIITB & Centre for Public Policy IIMB, and Professor K Kumar, Chairperson NSRCEL. The discussion was moderated by Professor Mathew J Manimala, faculty member of the Organisational Behaviour & Human Resources Management area at IIMB.     

 

A book titled "Enterprise Support Systems - An International Perspective" edited by Mathew J Manimala, Jay Mitra and Varsha Singh, published by Response Books, an associate of Sage Publications Ltd., was released at the event by N S Raghavan, former Joint Managing Director of Infosys Technologies Ltd., and Professor Pankaj Chandra, Director IIMB.

 

The book, dedicated to N S Raghavan, focuses on issues surrounding enterprise support systems, giving a comprehensive understanding of how they influence enterprise creation and growth in various nations. Against the background of globalized economy, this collection covers issues pertaining to countries at diverse stages of enterprise development and offers valuable insights into the support needed at these stages. The theoretical debates raised by the issues discussed in this book will provide value-addition and solution-oriented tools for researchers, entrepreneurs, financiers, venture capitalists, trainers and educators.
