Academic Council

Leading edge academic learning is at the core of IIMB's Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP). The Academic Council is the student community's voice in all matters pertaining to academics. The Council acts as a link between the students and the faculty, and functions with the end objective of fostering a healthy academic atmosphere where the quality of learning is always on the rise. The Council comprises four members who are elected by the student community. Email: acad@iimb.ernet.in

Anveshan helps students stay connected to nature, and get the much deserved break once in a while. Some of the activities that we organize are trekking and hiking (forests, scenic waterfalls, historical places), camping, rock climbing, rappelling, white water rafting, kayaking, cycling, bike trips and night safari. Anveshan has organised trips to numerous locations in Karnataka, Kerala and Tamil Nadu. The club encourages adventure enthusiasts and nature lovers not only to participate, but also to come forward and take a leader's role in organising trips. While everyone is academically brilliant, quite a few are also talented in other spheres, such as music, writing, painting, abstract art and poetry. However, with the academic pressures and impending project deadlines, most of these individuals lose their enthusiasm and drive to follow these non-graded pursuits.

Expressions endeavours to be the creative mouth-piece of all literary and artistic creativity - it provides a platform to IIMB community to contribute in building a collective creative quotient of the institute. Such a forum would go a long way in supporting, and increasing the creativity of the entire IIMB family. Email: expressions@iimb.ernet.in

Gurukul

Every year, professors teach. Students learn. And at the end of the programme they graduate. But during the course of the journey, we (both students and faculty) are sadly missing the wood for the trees. Between the packed sessions, submissions and surprise quizzes, we felt that there hasn't been much interaction between students and faculty.
