International Exposure

Student Exchange
The International Exchange Program at IIMB, the best Student Exchange Program in the country India, is one of the many opportunities available for PGP students to broaden their vision and enhance their personalities. Spending an academic term studying at a top partner school abroad, helps students experience a different cultural and business environment and develop a first hand understanding of the global business scenario. In addition the exchange program provides students with a cross cultural exposure and a global perspective. The exchange experience is all about a wide variety of people, beautiful cities, different ways of doing things and opportunities to expand one's horizons. Steps are taken every year to expand the programme further, by increasing the number of partner universities and enable an even larger number of students to avail of this unique opportunity. Every year nearly 50% of the batch gets chance to spend a term at our partner institutes spread across 60 universities in 17 countries over 4 continents. Students, who prefer to spend the term at IIMB, get an even chance to interact with the equally large number of foreign students from the partner schools abroad who spend an academic term at IIMB.

International Business in Practice
A unique concept pioneered by IIMB, give the students a chance to participate in the IBP program, which is an elective offered in the second year. This course requires students to visit an Asian country, and work on a current business problem for a company having international operations. The visit is preceded by intensive classroom inputs on assessing the economic environment, cultural differences, international marketing practices, multinational finance, control strategies, accounting and tax issues. The IBP aims at helping students understand and examine how national and other cultural values shape organizational strategy, structure individual behavior and learn how to manage cross cultural similarities and differences in the global context.

Locations for IBP: Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand.
