IIMB joins MRN Business School Research Paper series at SSRN

Participant-Centered Learning Seminar jointly organized by IIMB, HBP & CRSI from Jan 6 to 8, 2013
The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in collaboration with Harvard Business Publishing (HBP) and Case Research Society of India (CRSI) is organizing a Case Writing Workshop cum Seminar - "Art & Craft of Discussion Leadership" on January 6-8, 2013 at IIMB campus. The workshop will help participants to fine-tune their approach to participant-centered learning and the case method. The seminar covers a broad range of topics, including:
- Establishing and reshaping the learning contract
- Questioning, listening, and responding
- The teacher/student relationship
- Designing the discussion plan
- Practicing the skill

IMR Doctoral Conference 2013: Call for Submissions
IIMB Management Review (IMR) and the Office of the Fellow Programme in Management are organising its fifth annual Doctoral Students' Conference (IMRDC) at the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIMB) in December 2013. We invite paper submissions from doctoral students in management and the social sciences. Our objective is to encourage doctoral students' research and facilitate collaborative work amongst researchers from different institutions. We aim to provide a forum where insightful feedback from senior scholars within India and abroad would help improve the quality of students' work.
The submissions will be reviewed by a Faculty Committee from which a subset of papers will be selected for presentation. The conference will be held at IIM Bangalore. Presenters of accepted papers will be provided accommodation and APEX domestic airfare.

Visiting Research Scholar's Programme (VRSP)
Visiting Research Scholar's Programme (VRSP) is a research grant aimed to support collaboration between permanent faculty members at IIMB and researchers from outside India. This is a competitive grant and it is expected that the research collaboration should result in publication in a leading academic journal. VRSP grant can be used to support travel and subsistence expenses up to 8 weeks of stay outside India. The maximum funding provided is Rs 2, 00,000 per proposal. Faculty who wish to apply for this grant should submit the proposal and other supporting documents to R&P office by 31st July of every year.

IIMB Challenge Research Grant
IIMB is introducing a new competitive research grant to support empirical research based on themes relevant to Indian business and management. The research grant is open for regular faculty members of IIM Bangalore. The duration of research grant would be for 2-3 years and maximum grant amount is Rs 25 lakhs that will be paid in annual installments.

The Project titled, "Relative Performance of Business Group Mutual Funds using Survivorship Bias Free Database of Indian Mutual Fund Returns" submitted by Prof. Pulak Ghosh, Prof. Venky Panchapakesan and Prof. Jayant Kale is approved for funding.
