27 March, 2024, Bengaluru: The Data Centre and Analytics Lab (DCAL) at IIM Bangalore will host the Women in Data Science (WiDS) Bangalore Conference 2024 on 13th April 2024, from 8:45 am to 5:15 pm, at Classroom N-202 of IIMB.
The WiDS Bangalore Ambassadors are Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Dean, Faculty, Chairperson, Data Centre & Analytics Lab and faculty in the Decision Sciences area of IIMB, Afreen Aman, Ashwini Chandrashekharaiah, Harini Anand, Harini Thammaiah and Shailaja Grover.

About the conference: The Women in Data Science (WiDS) initiative aims to inspire and educate data scientists worldwide, regardless of gender, and to support women in the field. WiDS is a Stanford University initiative that includes a global conference, with more than 150 regional events worldwide; a ‘datathon’ encouraging participants to hone their skills using a social impact challenge, and a podcast featuring leaders in the field discussing their work, journey and lessons learnt.
IIM Bangalore will host the 6th annual WiDS conference featuring accomplished women data scientists and luminaries from the field. There will be technical speakers who are engaged in remarkable work in the data science domain from diverse organizations and labs like Amaranth Medical Analytics, Diebold Nixdorf, EarnIn, EY, GE HealthCare, Karkinos Healthcare, National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH), Niramai Health Analytix, PayPal and SAP, among others.
