3 May, 2024, Bengaluru: The Centre for Capital Markets and Risk Management (CCMRM) at IIM Bangalore will conduct a two-day certificate programme on Bloomberg database and NSMART, on 13th and 14th May 2024 (Batch 1) as well as 16th and 17th May 2024 (Batch 2). The Bloomberg and NSE Smart Certification Programme, to be conducted by experienced market traders, is aimed to provide the know-how to the participants for them to gain a recruiting edge over other aspirants.
The course will introduce participants to financial management and investment analysis using the Bloomberg terminal to motivate and support fundamental principles. This course requires students to retrieve, analyze and interpret economic, accounting and financial information. Bloomberg data analytics will help bridge the textbook material covered in their respective finance courses to the general professional practices followed in the finance industry. Till date, nine such workshops have been conducted with a total of 152 attendees. Students from different institutions, faculty and professionals from diverse fields, including students and staff from IIMB, have actively engaged in these workshops.
The topics to be covered in the programme include: Terminal Orientation, Macroeconomic and Excel Add-In, Bloomberg Excel Add-In, Bloomberg Functions and BMC (Bloomberg Market Concepts) Overview, NSMART Orientation, Trading Using NSMART, Portfolio Analysis, and Assignment and Project.
Upon successful completion of the programme, the participants will get certificates. They will also have access to the software and lab for upto 10 days after completion of the training.
